Beautiful Sunday: street food atmosphere near Robinson shopping mall.
This is my entry for #beautifulsunday hosted by @ace108. I almost forget that today is Sunday and I have not posted on #beautifulsunday for ages. I often get a lot to work in the garden on Sundays.
Now, during the lockdown, I begin to find extra time for myself. These photos were taken on a Sunday afternoon just before the lockdown in Bangkok. If you happen to walk by this shopping mall near the Sathorn Pier, please don’t forget to have a look at the bazaar area by the side road. This is a very good place for street food on wheels and small food stalls plus coffee shops and restaurants.
There are almost twenty street food on wheels here and they are very popular with locals and tourists. I must say they are good value and quality. That’s probably why there are so many customers at peak hours.
After having your stick food and other yummy food here, I would recommend a nice slow walk inside the shopping mall, go washing yourself face in the air-conditioned restrooms and get some fruits or cakes in the supermarket! Here is the entrance to Robinson.
Wishing you all a very nice day!
Cheers.
I've passed that place a few times but usually the bazaar close by then.
Then you’ll have to come to Bangkok again one day!!
About 6pm is the best time to observe the busy vendors and customers.
I was there yesterday and it seemed it was the only place in Bangkok that still has a little bit of life :)
