Fortunately no cricketers were on the pitch so herdsman must have decided it was safe to go straight over directly to the river crossing. Normally they go along the banks of the river where the green grass is, alas last heavy rains washed sand into a lot of where grass was now they altered the route.

Birds are always plentiful along these walks by the river, seasonal changes bring different birds in.
