Los hombres del mar 2 /The men of the sea 2- MyPictureDay Submission-
La bahía de Manzanillo en la isla de Margarita (Venezuela) es un lugar ideal para disfrutar unos atardeceres muy hermosos, pero también es una pequeña población de pescadores y en la cual tienen a resguardo sus botes y sus artes de pesca y desde donde salen todas los días o noches a faenar al mar. Hace unos días fui a tomar algunas tomar fotos del atardecer pero me llamó la atención que había un gran número de pescadores reparando sus redes y compartiendo todas las actividades en familia.
The bay of Manzanillo on the island of Margarita (Venezuela) is an ideal place to enjoy some beautiful sunsets, but it is also a small fishing village and where they have their boats and fishing gear safe and from where they all leave the days or nights to fish the sea. A few days ago I went to take some pictures of the sunset but I was struck by the fact that there were a large number of fishermen repairing their nets and sharing all family activities.
Me llamó mucho la atención que al preguntarles si podía tomarles algunas fotos se sorprendieron mucho y se reían y me miraban como si yo estuviese loco, pensaban que yo era un turista, cuando le dije que vivía en la misma isla se sorprendieron aún más y me indicaron que podía tomar todas las que quisiera.
It caught my attention that when I asked them if I could take some pictures they were surprised and laughed and looked at me as if I was crazy, they thought I was a tourist, when I told them that I lived on the same island they were even more surprised and They indicated that I could take as many as I wanted.
Todos de una forma u otra contribuyen al trabajo, hasta los más jóvenes, tuve que girar y encuadrar rápidamente la cámara para poder hacer esta toma.
All in one way or another contribute to the work, even the youngest, I had to turn and quickly frame the camera to make this shot.
Es interesante que toda la familia participa en la reparación de las redes, algunos traen el café mientras otros solo cantan o cuentan chistes mientras los mas adultos hacen las costuras de las roturas de las redes.
It is interesting that the whole family participates in the repair of the networks, some bring the coffee while others only sing or tell jokes while the adults make the seams of the breaks of the networks.
Quedé impactado, con todos los riesgos que implica la pesca y las condiciones tan precarias en la cuales se vive en la actualidad en Venezuela, todos estaban trabajando con una sonrisa y compartiendo en familia, se respiraba una tranquilidad y paz que en muy pocos lugares había visto.
I was shocked, with all the risks involved in fishing and the precarious conditions in which we live now in Venezuela, everyone was working with a smile and sharing with family, we breathed a tranquility and peace that in very few places had viewed.
Normalmente no publico fotos en blanco y negro, pero hoy me pareció que estas tomas se podían apreciar mejor así, espero que les haya gustado...
