A beautiful and sublime Sunday ... in an unexpected way!

in #beautifulsunday6 years ago

A new Sunday night. I think what made this day beautiful and special for me.

It's the first day home after a beautiful vacation in Greece. After a very long and tiring journey, this Sunday was meant for rest.

It was also necessary to adapt to normal life after a wonderful relaxation on an island in Thassos.

I can not forget the beauty of where I left yesterday!

That was it, it was over ... to look for the joy of being home, to see what offer the place we live in.

Today is celebrated in Bucharest, the city where they live ... they are celebrating 559 years since the first documentary attestation. For this, many cultural events were organized, I lost them because I was gone. However, I had the chance to be here this Sunday when Rod Stewart is the biggest concert!

I'm an admirer of Rod Stewart, I like his music for many years. Still, I do not like to see famous singers at the end of their career. When they are old enough but do not want to admit ... they act much younger than they are. I can give some examples: Rod Stewart; Paul McCartney; Mick Jaegger. I love everyone ... but I prefer to stay with the image of their youth!

What I mean, I did not really want to see the concert, but my wife would want it. For her and for Sunday to become more beautiful and special I decided to go. My joy was to take a lot of pictures and show them.

To not keep it too long ... I got to the concert but I wasn't allowed to enter. Because of the camera! Madness!!! Inside there are 50,000 people with 50,000 smartphones ... 50,000 ways to take pictures! They did not let me in because I had a camera.

That was a beautiful Sunday (because I was at home and I rested) and a sublime Sunday ... I didn't see the concert because of the camera and this I find unreal! I use for the first time the notion of sublime with a negative connotation.

Inspired by #sublimesunday a tag from @c0ff33a and #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) plus a beautiful day of Sunday! Thanks for the wonderful idea. You probably had it on a Sunday.

That's a very beautiful photo! What a shame you couldn't get into the concert!

Thank you! I'm very happy when you like a photo. It is a guarantee that it is good.
The problem with the concert is that banning the camera, which may have some reasons I don't know, it's ilogical when you can shoot, sometimes even better with a cell phone.

That is unreal that you were not able to attend the concert because of a camera. I am very angry along with you. That is very unjust.

But your photo from Greece is heavenly. Rod Stewart would not have been that photogenic... Even though I love him SO much!

Thank you, Melinda. You are such a nice person! Rod is definitely not photogenic. It has never been ... but it has a lot of charm and great singing. I liked as much as you liked him...part of our youth.

I saw him in concert 15 years ago. It was a great show. I hope you have voiced your complaint to the concert venue.

Yes, he was and is a show artist! No complaint because it was a rule I didn't know, I did not care about before ... in the end it was my fault. I just think it's a rule already overtaken that cannot stop people from taking photos.

Sorry you weren’t allowed in the concert because of the camera. I like Rod Stewart and it would be amazing to see him live.
Looking on the brighter side, you had a wonderful holiday. Lovely peaceful photo.

Yes you are right. The holiday was beautiful, I stay with this compensation ... Thank you!

Oh, how frustrating for you @bluemoon to be denied attending Rod Stewart's concert. I can just imagine your disappointment. Funnily enough I just saw a programme on TV last night about him and you're quite right. He is 73 but still appears to be full of energy. He has a great voice and a wonderful repertoire. Let's hope next Sunday will be a lot more sublime for you.

Thanks, I hope it will be!
I think it's bad luck, I have been counting such incidents for many years, and all of them lead me to the conclusion that I am a bad luck. At least in some ways ...
My wife told me that the concert was very good and Rod was very energetic! I saw a concert with him about 30 years ago and I was not really excited. He was the star but also sang Joe Cocker who was much better!

I hope your luck will change @bluemoon By the law of averages, it sounds like you are overdue for some good luck for a change. I suppose you can derive a bit of satisfaction knowing your wife enjoyed the concert but I can still imagine how disappointed you were.......and probably still are.

I think Rod Stewart's voice would really suit Joe Cockers songs as they both have thsoe raspy voices which is very hard to copy.

Thank you. We are tempted to see more lack of luck than good luck or good. They intertwine, of course, and the most important thing is the result. I should not cry...
I'm so glad you like that music!

I would love to have a boat house for sure lol and beautiful picture here, love it, thanks. Upvoted.

Thank you! I prefer the ground under my feet...but a boat is more romantic.

beautiful pic, love it. I remember when my husband and me enjoy a sunset

I'm glad to hear, thank you!

Amazing picture at a beautiful moment of the day.

Have a wonderful day :)
