First time I brought my wife to join me to do some volunteer work for a tennis tournament. Drove out to Bedok and parked near to the Heartbeat@Bedok.

Went up to 7th floor to the tennis courts just before 7:40am. The courts were empty. Not surprising. Matches are scheduled to start at 9am.

The desk for registration were there but nobody. That was bad. It's already 7:45am and that was the time we were told to report. Shouldn't the person in charge come earlier than the time he told us?

So, I just had to waste some time taking another photo of the courts.

About 7:50am, the breakfast was delivered. I'm not waiting. I started distributing to a few others who were there by then and started eating.
大约7点50分，早餐送到。我不等了。我开始分派给其他几个也刚到的人然后开始吃。

After breakfast, we were assigned out duties. We need to move some signages to different location on the first floor and basement.
吃过后，有人为我们分配工作。我们需将一些标牌移到一楼和地下层的不同位置。

I was deployed a lobby A on the first floor. Few of us deployed at different lift lobbies brought along a chair. We were tasked to tell competitors to go to lobby C to get to the tennis courts which seem quite redundant because we already place the different signages and most of competitors already know. During the whole time I was there, there are many people walking around and going up the lifts but I only spotted 4 people with tennis rackets. 2 of them walked pass me to lobby C. So, they already know. Another 2 different guys I approached said they just finished their matches and proceeded to the lifts at lobby A.

I was walking around in the beginning until I am this bored.

Then I was told lunch was here and we went, collected the food and quickly finished it and go back to do the quite meaningless thing.

The only interesting thing happening after that was there were the block objects where kids were playing with in front of the Security/Information counter. Yes, there is a Security/Information counter there. I wonder why not the instructions are communicated to them.

The children did different things with the blocks. At one time, a tower came up. At another time, they started playing "Jenga" with it.
