What is Beat Battle League?
Its a beat contest put on by @chiefmappster under the beatbattle tag.

O weee what an epic league it has been so far. Thirteen epic entries so far and a core group of epic up and coming producers and beat makers have made this an incredibly rewarding and thrilling experience.

@verbal-d has swept the first two and have a pack of Steemians following right behind him trying to earn that Beat Battle League Championship belt.

The Beat Battle League is more than a competition; it's a community of incredible souls that put their time and effort into creating amazing, original content for us Steemians to enjoy. We are truly blessed to have this amazing level of talent in the League and we are so excited to see what the future will hold.
If you know any beat makers and producers on or offline Steemit, let's get them apart of this amazing community and rise to the top together. Teamwork makes the dream work and that is ESPECIALLY important in the music industry. The industry is full of sharks that exploit dreams for a living. One of the best ways to country this is building an epic community of like-minded souls whose goal is to inspire real, positive change.

One way we try and encourage community building is the the Beat Battle League Leaderboard at http://www.beatbattleleague.com/ .
The League Standings reflect the continual progression of these amazing Steemit music producers. The points are calculated based off the contestant's ranking that week and related prize pool.

So this past week @verbal-d won 25 SBD and 60 Whaleshares for a total of 85 points for the week (25+60). The points decrease in order from ranking, but sometimes like this past week a bonus prize is given that affects the standings.

@vegancap heard about Week Two with 12 hours left to the deadline and worked tirelessly to produce an entry for the League. As a way to thank him he received 60 Whaleshares in addition to the 2 SBD reward for a total of 62 points (Whaleshares are coming soon, sorry for the delay). If you can see below that vaulted him to fourth place holding a 5 point lead over @edgarstudio . So as you can see hard work and determination are rewarded here at the Beat Battle League.
