Fooling around on set: The Bearded Way to eat a burger promo

in #beard6 years ago (edited)

We were fooling around on set while making the Jäger Burger Recipe, and Shaun (The main pirate at Cpt's Beard) decided to educate us how to eat a burger without messing when you have a beard... This is a little snippet of that video... the full video is on it's way a bit later.

Edit (and a question):

Oops... I didn't want to post this to Steemit... was going to do a blog post along with the full version in my next post.

Does anyone know how to upload a video to @dtube WITHOUT creating a post on Steemit as well?

P.S. That brings me to another interesting point: How do I delete a blog post from Steemit? hmmmm.... can that even be done?

oh i see, you wanted to keep the quality of your posts high. Cool. Keep up the good work. your videos are pretty cool, and i hope you make it far as a celebrity chef bro

Thanks... yeah... I've had some pretty good successes on FB, YuoTube etc. etc... but with their rules ever-changing and making it harder and harder for creators to be seen without forking out cash, I decided to move to Steemit where I could actually MAKE some cash instead of spending it.

Of course as a minnow here on Steemit, it's almost impossible to get noticed as well... which is why (in my opinion) it's NB to keep all your posts of a high enough quality so that potential new followers don't get chased away by empty single image/video posts.

I hear you. Well i had a random idea. Im a portuguesse person here in South Africa, and we have a great traditional meal that suits the South African Braai perfectly. Its called Espetada, im sure youve heard of that before? basically, you cut cubes of rump, skewer it onto real bay leaf branches, coat in coarse salt and bayleaves. Then turn it over a fire until medium rare. then you clear the coarse salt of the rump cubes with the back of a knife. It is the most amazing meat youll ever have with the salt and bayleaf infused flavors. Plus the use of bayleaf branches gives it that primitive, unique and mind blowingly delicious flavors.... trust me.espetada-big.jpg

You're right!!! It IS amazing, and easy enough to do too... yet I've never considered it for a video recipe.

Thanks for the suggestion... definitely adding it to the shooting schedule... Thanks for the idea!

P.S. Any chance you're in the Pretoria area? Will invite you to the shoot, and you can judge me on my Espetada skills :-)

Hey thanks for the invite bro! ill keep in touch... enjoy the braai'ing boet

So i was just pointing you to check it out, as an idea since your braaiboy, you gotta add it to your to do list (if you haven't already)

well, from what i can see no it cant be deleted from steemit... the website does not seem to have that function, yet... but even if you delete the post off the website (when they create that function) the STEEM blockchain will always have a copy of your post and that can not be deleted at all. So some tech savy people will forever be able to see your mistake post, for all eternity

Yeah... I don't mind there being evidence of it on the blockchain... I just didn't want a (crappy/info-less) Steemit post for the video. My intention was to add 2 @dtube videos to 1 Steemit blog post.

Oh well... This is how we learn :-)

also ive noticed that if you put a link from a youtube video into your steamit post its a smoother easier to watch video straight from the steemit post. It just plays easier without opening a new tab to run a Dtube video, just to give you feedback of my experiences as a steemit user.

Thanks, yeah... I noticed this too, but I'm still in 2 minds about this one.

In early posts I used to share both the @dtube and YouTube video in my posts (because I thought that without my seeding them nobody would be able to watch my @dtube video)... turns out that isn't true... so then I removed the YouTube embeds in subsequent posts :-)

I would really like to support @dtube / Steemit and grow my following here, so don't really want to embed YouTube vids... but I might switch to doing both again until dtube becomes a lot more viable as a "video watching" platform.

I know you can edit posts, but haven't tried deleting something yet.

I did try... and couldn't find anything :p
