Summer Paradise #2 | Phuket, Thailand

Back in 2011 when two of my best friends Josh, Evelyn and I were 21, young, wild and crazy (I think broke is a better word), we booked return tickets to our first ever BFFs Trip to Phuket, Thailand to celebrate Josh's birthday. That was actually my first time to Thailand!!! Mind you, I live few hours from Hatyai but I have never been there. Even my friends from Johor have been there multiple times, BY CAR!!!

Over there in Phuket, we met up with two of Josh's Singaporean friends, Ivan and Cheryl. I gotta say Cheryl is one of the most beautiful girl I've ever met. And she's a singer. FAN GIRL MOMENT!!!

I wanna say Phuket is a very beautiful state. We went to Phi Phi Island, the views were amazing, water was so clear we could see everything beneath the surface. You really don't need to pay twenty thousand bucks to Maldives for a honeymoon. South East Asia has really nice islands and views. They are just as breathtaking!

The one thing you must do in Phuket, Thailand is definitely island hopping. There are just too many. Sadly, we didn't have enough time for more but it was good enough to "check" my bucket list. I will definitely make another trip back there some day when Malaysian currency improves. The exchange rate now is just depressing.

Besides, island hopping, Phuket or the whole of Thailand rather, is famous for all the partyin' partyin' stuff. And NOPE! I didn't pay for "Tiger Show", no thank you. We just went to clubs for drinks, music and dance floors. And, our dear friend Evelyn sucks at drinking (even till today). She literally passed out in the club and Josh & I had to carry her about 1km back to the hotel, ditched her and continue to party.

Over there we made some Australian friends. Why not? The more the merrier. I guess Summer Paradises just have this magic to bring people of different cultural backgrounds together.

I gotta say, I was a lil high that time after far too many shots.

But all good things come to an end. It was a 3 days 2 nights trip. It should have been longer!!! Lesson learned, two nights is not enough, three nights is good, if you have enough to spare, four nights is actually the best. I could be sitting there by the beach all day.

A city girl could use a beautiful island getaway like this every year. As I grow older, I find it so difficult to get out of the system and break free for a lil. Gotta find a way to put commitments aside. TAKE ME BACK TO SUMMER PARADISE!
