Beach day
Empanada de marisco
Another day in repetitive-routine days in a few months throughout coronavirus pandemic...
But...
It's another different one not like a 14-hour screen time just like many other days. It's beach day! Got a kind local host from CouchSurfing take me to a few different cities on the coast. Concón is lovely! A coastal city in central Chile. Its beaches include La Boca, a surf spot & known for its dark sand. Nearby, boats dot the harbor. All the seafood shops, surf camps and all. I can imagine how lively this place could get. Not so many people this time around though ovely and peaceful <3
Chile is also known for their empanada. I have tried a dime a dozen but never before I have tried empanada de mariscos or Seafood empanada. Since it's a beach day, might as well! I didn't think it would be possible to be good either but holy! I think, no more beef and onion kind of empanada for me. Look at all the mussels packed in that pocket!!!
The vast dunes of Punta Concón
Oooh, last time on this kind of place was in Huacachina, Peru. The natural oasis with one of the biggest sand dune in South America. Here in Concón is a bit different scenery. It got the ocean in front and the beautiful city on behind. Probably one of the prettiest views around these few cities. I was there during the sunset so imagine it in the gorgeous golden hour.
It's just a nice switch-up and mind-refreshing after so many days with hundreds of hours of screen time. I realized it's still social-distancing period still but being at beaches or sand dunes or maybe a park nearby your house where you keep a 10+ meter distance - to take in some fresh air a bit wouldn't hurt, would it?
