Rainy Day Beach Blues

Lucky that even the rainiest day at the beach is better than a day of the usual humdrum.

We've had so much rain this trip. There have been thunderstorm and flashflooding alerts. None of it has stopped us from relaxing on the balcony and chilling to the sound of the surf though. Last night we sat back with a drink or two and watched the lightning break across the ocean.

This morning I went for a walk along the beach and got soaked to the skin - even with my raincoat. It was fantastic though, being out there in the elements, bare feet on the sand, not a soul in sight.

Late this afternoon the sky finally cleared and let the setting sun through.

Looking forward to more beach walks this week.
