The reason for the diagonal lock bar is to have a centered lock. If it is a heavy one this is far better wearing than a lock close to one corner. Think symmetrical!

The Padlock can be build with text or initials on the front (bad for negotiation if you put the price on it) and in different sizes of both rings and the distance between the two (which is essential for wearing comfort).
