More and more projects choose to attract financing through token sale mechanics. While this is definitely great and very much decentralized way to build initial capital, often it requires a lot of effort and budget to organize. Much part of budget goes into designing, testing and auditing Ethereum smart-contracts which are responsible for ETH flow during the sale.

In retrospective, there were a lot of projects failed or severely spoiled their token sales because of bad smart-contracts design. Specifically, small sales with restricted budget often don’t have enough resources to attract top developers and auditors.

In today’s use case we’ll demonstrate how token sale can be organized via BCShop.io platform with no coding involved and zero budget for smart-contract creators and auditors. We find this approach especially effective for small companies as it offers out-of-the-box solution which is built on smart-contracts already audited by SmartDec.

We’ll start this use case from the moment you issued project tokens, defined token metrics, token sale dates, price and amount to be sold and are ready to the sale itself.

Get access to the platform

Go to https://bcshop.io website and click “Dashboard”.

Unlock the wallet with your method of choice to access platform functions.

Create new offer

Go to “My Offers” tab and click “Create offer”.

In appeared window click “Optional” and “More” under “Request from buyer” to get access to all offer settings.

Fill in required fields:

1. Put your token sale name under “product name”
2. Set price of 1 token
3. Tick “use escrow” if you wish to give your contributors 24 hours opportunity to open a claim for refund if something goes wrong
4. Set number of tokens to be sold at “units available”
5. Put the dates of the sale under “available within”. Contributors will be able to buy your tokens after start date and time until the end date and time. The time is in your local time zone
6. Tick “Wallet Address” to request it from buyers at the moment of purchase. The tokens should be send by you to this address, manually
7. Request additional info if needed (for example, e-mail, to keep in touch with token holders)
8. Select an icon for your offer
9. Read and accept user agreement and privacy policy

Click “Create offer” and sign transaction in pop up window. Wait for the transaction to be mined.

Share you token sale

After the transaction is mined, you will see your offer in “My offers” tab. Click “Share” icon and copy link or insert JS code into your website.

You are good to go! After clicking the link contributors will directly get to your offer where they will be able to purchase your tokens with their favorite wallet access method.

Deliver tokens

You will see all contributions in “Sold” tab. Deliver tokens according to your token sale rules. All process will cost you as little as 0.8% or 0.4% if you have some BCS tokens on your wallet!
