Hello single moms and dads! Hello Steemit community! Hello happy people! I am quite unsure what to say, I have prepared for this introduction during those days my Steemit account was still under review, now I don't know where to start. 

Well here's my story: I was once a happy (not married but living with my partner) woman. Until one day ... you know how the typical story goes, my man left me for another woman. Well, that hurts, a lot! It seems like I want be eaten by the earth alive. I was once lost and unsure of myself.  I rant, I complain, I was negative, I was mad, I was bitter, I compared myself to her (the other woman), I post bad stuffs in social media just to gain refuge, I saw all the negative characters of his parents, siblings, cousins and relatives. I felt like I am better than any of them. I was in denial, yet I felt like I am telling the total truth. 

Then... I decided to stay away. Far far away from their sight, their smell, their scent, their presence. I moved from Luzon to Visayas. I then started a life with just me and my kids. First, I started accepting the fact that my man doesn't love me anymore, then I realized the feeling was mutual. So why rant and be bitter? Second, I started to forgive my man and open a door of communication between him and my kids. - It's a relief, I felt like I have unloaded a full baggage of trash. Third, I started to regain my self esteem and realized that my worth do not depend on someone else's attention. Oh so true, I can manage life on my own. 

Now I am a full pledged single mom. I raise my kids with my own sweat and blood. I am a father and a mother at the same time. Call me crazy when I act outside the normal, but that's the result of parenting. I have my ups and downs and mostly my crazy moments (you can ask my kids). I have gained all the acting workshops within the four corners of our room. Let's talk showbiz, I have nothing to share with you about that. Current news are not my thing either. But tell me all the cartoon stuffs you know, yes I can get along. CN, Disney Channel are my 24/7 program. Sleeping is borrowed, eating is a pleasure, malling is a relief, grocery is distressing, cooking is my favorite hobby and now Steemit joins my journey.

In this blog, I will share my crazy journey as I work as a mother for my two little rascals. I will share with you random stuffs, DIY projects, food recipes, travels, cats, art works, and my story how I embrace and enjoy being a single MOM.

By the way I'm Marlene, MJ is my nickname and I am a steemit newbie!

          As long as Someone up there protects me, no one on Earth can break me.
