The perspective of this generation's writers compared to the past has evolved. Creative writers now incorporate futuristic concepts that seemed absurd in the past. Multiverses and multiple endings are now a thing since they keep getting fans curious of the what ifs. Now, authors can be proactive in what their fans expect from them and adjust to the market demands. This makes their content good since data about their audience comes with modern analytics.
yeah, it's definitely a data driven world - I still am enjoying the Detective run, but have been up/down with King's work. I'll follow his run on it until the end, and keep up with the Justice League stuff too (I do like the Source Wall).
