Final Basil Harvest

Mr Frost has not arrived, as yet, here in the mountains of western North Carolina. But, the night time temps dropping in the low 40s and upper 30s are cooling the soil.

The roots of the perennial plants are sensing this and going into their dormant state.

I noticed the leaves of my basil starting to turn brown, so here is our final basil harvest for 2022.

Okay, you folks that love fall of the year, enjoy. I don't. My time of the year is spring when everything is getting green, the soil is warming up and I can PLANT VEGETABLES in my Sustainable Container Garden...😀
