A smaller work week is a goal we should be striving for. We should totally embrace automation to free us of repetitive tasks that limit our minds. I liked the Star Trek economy where money isn't a thing and people simply choose to work, because all their needs are met and everyone lives in abundance. Basic income in a way seems to be a step towards that goal. I think employment tax should be replaced with Land Value Tax... and make it so it's revenue neutral. Cut military spending and also the corporate welfare. Also cut a lot of spending on beurocracy and make the government as small as possible.
