For those that might want to join in tonight's Steemit MLB contest (link to the thread below) here is some insight to
tonight's baseball schedule.
For tonight's small 6 game schedule there are quite a few standout options. Trying to get as many as possible into your lineup is the trick.
Chris Sale will be heavily used, but comes at an extreme hit to your salary cap. His opponent tonight is the Minnesota Twins and their predominately left hand hitting lineup. Sale dominates lefties (and often righties) so a big game is expected from the Red Sox hurler.
On the offensive side tonight, there are a couple strong match-ups vs weaker pitchers. The NY Yankees are facing a career minor league pitcher, who could be in for a rough evening. Right handed hitters Matt Holiday, Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez are the first 3 bats that come to mind in this contest. It will be extremely difficult to roster two of these players with Sale. Starlin Castro (if available) and Chase Headley may offer some salary relief and allow you to stack a few Yankees.
Another game that looks interesting to target is the Chicago Cubs vs Washington Nationals. The Cubs send a weak righty to the mound hoping he can get 6 innings without getting smacked around. Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy will be looking to
tee-off on the Cubbies pitcher. Right handed hitters, Ryan Zimmerman, Trea Turner and Anthony Rendon have had a solid season and could be considered if you want to stack Nats bats.
On the other side, the Cubs also offer a couple big bats to consider. Kris Bryant has proven to tear up left handed pitching and the Nats pitcher, Gio Gonzalez has had problems with righties in the past. Like Harper and Murphy, Bryant comes at a steep price. Addison Russell is another Cub bat to consider and it's always difficult to overlook Anthony Rizzo (but he too is pricey)
The last offense that stands out tonight is the LA Dodgers. The Dodgers face a right handed pitcher that isn't pitching well in recent games. Look to target their left handed hitters - Yasmani Grandal, Cody Bellinger, Chase Utley, Joc Peterson in this game.
When it comes to fantasy baseball, don't assume the players mentioned are automatically starting. If starting, Fan Duel will have a green circle with the position in the batting order in the player's image. A red circle containing NS indicates they are not starting tonight, but may be available off the bench.
You're the manager. Do you roster the stud pitcher and lesser bats? Or do you opt for a cheaper pitcher, stack up some big hitters and look for a few high scoring contests? Hope to see you there tonight!

I know, right? I think the Cubs would have been thrilled with Butler going 5 and allowing 3 runs.
