Tovar Beer 🍻
In Venezuela, there is a town called Colonia Tovar, located in the State of Aragua, it was founded in 1843, by a group of German immigrants. It is famous for its climate and because they focus on maintaining their culture; that falls in love with those of us Venezuelans; They have exquisite meals, fruits that look like they are from the sky and make the Tovar beer.
Beer is a drink with a bitter taste, it can reach 30º alcohol (although it can generally be achieved between 3º and 9º) and it is not distilled.
In Germany, people are beer lovers; therefore they hold the annual event called Oktoberfest
It was to be expected that the population of Colonia Tovar, being a German colony, would preserve their tradition and also create a native beer. This being the first beer created in Venezuela, which is called Cerveza Tovar. This drink, despite being elaborated by the population of the German colony, has the collaboration of the liquor industry called Santa eresa, C.A. Therefore, they have managed to distribute the golden liquid throughout the Venezuelan territory.
Although the drink with German origins is totally original, it still respects the rules of the german tradition, having purity in its elaboration and offering an exquisite flavor to its consumers.
This Law is described in the book entitled "The Foam of Life" of the Venezuelan Chamber of Manufacturers de Cerveza, by its founder Duque Bávaro Guilermo IV and dates from 1516. The objective of this Law is that the delicious liquid, had to be elaborated with three essential ingredients: water, barley and hops; integrating the yeasts later.
In the city coloiera is celebrated the German tradition called Cultural Association Oktoberfest Colonia Tovar, custom that has been elebrated since 1810, said festival is held in honor of the marriage union of Luis I of Bavaria and Teresa of Saxony Altenburg. The Oktoberfest Colonia Tovar, is normally held on the same date held in Germany, but in Venezuela it takes place in the Hotel Freiburg, located in the settlement town.
