If the wife leaves, particularly for someone else, it's time to celebrate (providing she can't get alimony -- check and when sure, celebrate) as you just got rid of a parasitic timebomb. Better sooner than later. The only reason to be depressed is at the realisation you wasted time on someone who hid their true colors but in the end they did you a favor and fucked right off on their own (hopefully without alimony because if that's a factor, then "save" that marriage to make her as miserable as you would be paying it). (Yes, I speak from experience.)
