The Barry Cooper Scientific School of Ayahuasca and Ibogaine--A TripToWellness Series Part 1

Traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies have a strong culture and set of customs that are centered around taboos, superstition and fearful philosophies of demonic retaliation. A new and non-traditional philosophy of "Self Shamaning" and a holistic approach is emphasized in the "The Barry Cooper Scientific School of Ayahuasca and Ibogaine"

This brand new and controversial philosophy was developed and advanced by me and TripToWellness collaborators. The medicinal and “spiritual” effects of the ayahuasca are derived from the wonders of the medicine and not supernatural powers, bizarre rituals or the witch doctors who provide the plant extract.

The objective of “The Barry Cooper's Scientific School of Ayahuasca and Ibogaine" is to usher the medicinal DMT plant out of the secluded jungles of South America and into the mainstream. This paradigm changing philosophy has been fashioned to help all of humanity become the best version of themselves possible.

The real "magic" is a chemical compound called dimethyltryptamine (DMT) that comes from the extract of a plant called Mimosa Tenuiflora. The active ingredient in the extract is DMT. DMT is going to take you on a journey of self discovery with or without the sacred context the ayahuasca brew is typically consumed in.

DMT naturally exists in all humans. In high concentrations DMT is considered one of the most comfortable and life-changing psychedelics known to man.

DMT is often smoked which provides the user a 10 to 15 minute experience. In contrast, using Ayahuasca is tripping on DMT all night.

During death, a large amount of DMT is released into the human body. Those experiencing near death experiences often report visiting heavily places and experiencing an indescribable sense of peace, security and love. It is believed these experiences are attributed to the release of the DMT.

Most partakers report sleeping during the trip but were actuality in a trancelike state of bliss. The DMT puts the body to sleep but keeps the mind awake and oftentimes, a person can see in the dark or see through their closed eyelids.

While this phenomenon may not be a genuine temporary super power, the experience is empowering and gives the user undeniable proof that Ayahuasca is extraordinary and unlike anything they have ever experienced.

The second ingredient of the jungle tea is an extract from the Ayahuasca vine which contains an ingredient called monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI).

Our stomachs contain an enzyme called monoamine oxidase which destroys the DMT before it can be absorbed and sent to the brain. Without the Ayahuasca vine extract, the DMT will be destroyed and no effects will be noticed.

The natural purpose of the DMT destroyer in the gut is to remove excess norepinephrine, serotonin and dopamine from the brain. MAOIs prevent this from happening which makes more of these brain chemicals available.

This is why it can be dangerous to ingest Ayahuasca while taking serotonin uptake inhibitors because too much serotonin in the brain can cause severe serotonin syndrome which can be fatal if not treated.

Ayahuasca is considered one of the most therapeutic and safest psychedelics in the world. People are using Ayahuasca to discover the wealth of their minds, explore the universe, and challenge their deepest fears.

Ayahuasca is not a party drug and is non addictive. It is unjustifiably illegal in the United States but is perfectly legal in Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and other Latin American countries.

No person has ever died from ingesting only Ayahuasca. There are a few reports of Ayahuasca related deaths but the fatalities have always been linked to sketchy “shamans” lacing the brew with other drugs.

The DMT brew is also being used to effectively treat depression, PTSD, substance abuse, addictions and other pesky disorders.

Oftentimes substance abuse and overdrinking are improperly diagnosed as an addiction when the proper diagnoses should be a craving caused by an unhealthy habit. The thin line between the two diagnoses is easy to draw: If the person's life becomes unmanageable because of the unhealthy habit, they are considered an addict.

The good news is addiction is not a disease and it doesn’t have to be fatal. Addiction is a temporary brain disorder and there are many fascinating reports of Ayahuasca healing the disorder.

Author and Ted Talks speaker, Johann Harri, is correct in his theory that the real root of addiction is the lack of a genuine connection to family, community and self.

Harri explains painful experiences, traumas, and abuse cause these disconnections. When these vital bonds are broken, the person will bond to other stuff like drugs, alcohol, gambling, shopping, working, food, ect. Many addiction specialists and experts agree with Harri's statement, "the opposite of addiction is connection."

Academic researchers in the field of psychotherapy are showing an increased interest in ayahuasca because of the medicine's ability to treat the comprehensive problems responsible for the sad and disastrous bonding switch.

It has been said that one eight-hour session with ayahuasca is comparable to ten years of psychotherapy. This qualifies Ayahuasca as a forerunner in terms of disconnecting a patient from an unhealthy bond and reconnecting them to family, community and self.

I am, a psychedelic healer, certified drug expert, addiction specialist, founder of NeverGetBusted, and owner of the Ayahuasca/Ibogaine TripToWellness Center located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Ayahuasca boasts an enormous trending rate on Google and has rapidly gained the attention and interest of astute and brilliant minds all over the world.

I have guided over 200 individuals in Ayahuasca ceremonies. I have personally “Tripped To Wellness” with industry titans such Ewa Ewart, Emmy nominated filmmaker, director and producer for the European network, BBC.

I tripped next to Vogue models and their photographers and even sipped the DMT brew with Aleksander Kutela, the president of HBO/Europe.

During our shared experiences, I learned these forerunners were attracted to the DMT plant mixture for its unmatched ability to reveal creative career ideas that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

I recently guided famed activist, Adam Kokesh, at myTripToWellness Center. Mr. Kokesh will soon release a film documenting the experience.

Traditional ayahuasca ceremonies have a strong culture and set of customs that may include mandatory guides claiming supernatural powers, a native jungle environment, banana leaves, rattles, chanting, improper diet restrictions, abstaining from sex and unsafe purification ceremonies.

All of these extras are part of the history and landscape from which the plant and vine is harvested. They add tradition and nostalgia and although they deserve our deep respect and acknowledgement, they are not necessary for the DMT to provide a life transformative experience.

Persons claiming to have special favor and access to the spirit world created the source of these flawed, inaccurate and sometimes dangerous formalities. These persons are often referred to as shamans, priests, medicine men, sorcerers, and witch doctors.

That stated, it's important, imperative, fair and essential to acknowledge there are many "shamans" who deliver Ayahuasca properly and their techniques have healed thousands of people throughout the ages. The TripToWellness philosophy is not the only safe and effective way to benefit from the DMT brew.

Just as it's unnecessary for a hippie in the district of Haight-Ashbury to dose you with LSD for a therapeutic experience, it's also unnecessary for a shaman to give you Ayahuasca in the jungle to experience the life changing effects of the DMT contained in the brew.

We must all acknowledge the irrevocable fact that the chemical structure and effects of DMT in the jungle are identical to the chemical structure and effects of DMT in our backyards.

The self-shamaning school of thought is an absolutely necessary divergence from the traditional approach to the ayahuasca experience. While travelling to the jungles of Peru to have your experience mediated by a "chanting , leaf shaking shaman" can be a thrilling adventure, you can have just as transformative of an experience outside of that setting.

While this may sound like heresy to those who romanticize the ayahuasca experience, let’s consider this fact: Magic mushrooms have also historically been used in a sacred context. However, no one scoffs at the idea of using that psychedelic fungus without reproducing an ancient mexican ritual. Nor is it deemed necessary, by popular opinion, to have someone else administer the mushrooms after you have become acquainted with the experience.

To be clear, it is generally a good idea when consuming ANY psychedelic to have someone present or within easy contact that knows what you’re doing and to keep an ear out for you. That said, the belief that this person must come from a lineage of ayahuasca experts and must sings songs and blow smoke is more dogma than necessity.

Many organized religions, including Catholicism and Christianity, have gone through phases where the average man was forbidden from reading the sacred text themselves. It was claimed the only true way to gain the pure wisdom contained in the texts was through the ordained clergy.

Much in the same way, the ayahuasca experience is being claimed by some who see themselves as the ordained clergy of “mother ayahuasca.” Their insistence that ayahuasca must only be done their way represents a bottleneck to the widespread acceptance and use of ayahuasca.

If we hope for as many people as possible to find healing with these remarkable plants, our culture and our community has to be open to new approaches.

Ayahuasca ceremonies using my methods will be filmed and produced by L Dixon and Kelsie Paige Cooper of the brand catalyst, Autonomite. The Autonomite company lists an impressive resume of clients including, NeverGetBusted.com, Anarchapulco.com, DollarVigilante.com, AniLaw.com and many others. These mini-documentaries will be translated into dozens of languages and aired around the world.

I will publish a "The Barry Cooper Scientific School of Ayahuasca and Ibogaine" series on Steemit, NeverGetBusted.com and TripToWellness.mx. The publishing will detail exactly how my healing ceremonies unfold. The groundbreaking philosophy will also explain the science and logic and myths surrounding one of the safest and most healing psychedelic plants in the world.
