howdy there thebigsweed! I love old barns, I grew up on a big farm out by Dodge City, Kansas and we had barns. Love those stone walls! I like the look of that old roof where they put the steel roof over it! lol. Really needed that steel roof.

Having built several homes from the ground up, and knowing how much work is involved, only makes me appreciate these magnificent structures more. They constructed these barns with out the aid of power tools and machinery to lift these big beams into place. I simply am amazed every time I see one. There are several round barns about 8 miles from where I live. They have been very well maintained. About five years ago they were having a barn sale out in front of the barn. We stopped and I asked the owner if I could take a look inside. The framing of the barn was jaw dropping. My intentions are to see if I can talk to the farmer and get permission to see the inside again and snap some pictures. This old round barn should provide some great content for a future post.
