Messi Destroys Manchester United In Thrilling 3-0 Beating

Last week Spanish champions FC Barcelona faced off against England's Manchester United and it was a heated affair. The drama-filled contest focused mostly on Lionel Messi and Manchester United's(via Smalling) attempts to stifle the maestro. It took a heavy knock to the face to keep the multiple time Balon D'or winner quiet and Barcelona managed to see a 1-nil advantage to the end.

Camp Nou is another story. Many great teams have been decimated in these grounds. It is the cauldron of the Catalans, the wide-spread battlefield, most importantly, it is Messi's home.

Messi wasted no time showing his ire, dribbling through the opposition defense at will and terrorizing the defense at every opportunity he could afford. It only took him 16minutes to weave his way and strike a perfectly curved shot into the lower left side of the post. He then went for the kill 4 minutes later to make it 2-0. Barcelona kept pressing and tomernting United before getting their 3rd goal(a real beauty) courtesy of Phillipe Coutinho.

With both victories, Barcelona proceeds to the semi-finals stage and will face either Liverpool or Porto.
