Home sweet home

Nearly 3 years ago now , my husband and I embarked on a long journey to design and build a wooden-based house in Barcelona for our family.

Barcelona is not a city with many individual houses (except in the more well-off areas) so we felt privileged to have this opportunity; and what is more, in a very interesting area close to the beach.
We decided taking down an old sort of warehouse and and build what would become our house, from scratch.


After agreeing with the architects and promotor/builder on the wooden structure design to be as eco-friendly as possible we kicked off the actual building and started getting very excited seeing progress


We went (and are still going) through a lot of ups and downs with getting everything finished and wrapped-up but after all the effort we went through we are proud to say we made it to actually move in and live in our home with our kids, cat and now fish...

Et voilà...

We are very proud of what we achieved and hope to be able to fully enjoy it soon.
