Iniesta: Phillipe Coutinho will not make me retire sooner

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta insists that Philippe Coutinho will not make him retire sooner at the club. Instead, Coutinho will make Barcelona even stronger.

Barcelona has just completed the transfer of Coutinho from Liverpool. Brazilian star was brought Barca with a total transfer value reached 160 million euros making it the second most expensive player in the world afterNeymar.

The arrival of Coutinho is believed to be shifting the role of Iniesta or make it leave the club considering his age has stepped on 33 years. However Iniesta believes it will not happen.

"I am a player of this club and I always say only the best can play here, it makes Coutinho one of the best," Iniesta told Onda Cero.

"He is young, has a natural talent, while Barca is a club where he can continue to grow.

"Therefore, nobody ever made me retire or kicked me out of this.At 33 years old, that's not a problem, Coutinho came here to make us strong."
