Step by Step Guide for Bangladeshi to covert Steem Dollar into BDT (Taka) through bKash

This post is for the people who is here on steemit and having issue with converting their money they generated from steemit into BDT.

I'm assuming that you already have an account on steemit.

Once you're done signing up, it takes 1-2 days to approve your account. You have to wait patiently.

So let's get started with the payment.

Steemit pays you for posting, commenting and liking. But it doesn't pays you with USD ($) or BDT (Tk) rather pays you with Steem currency.

Steemit uses Steem. Steem is a cryptocurrency just like bitcoin. But, how do you convert your Steem Dollar for Taka and purdyyy in Westin?

From your article writing, comments and like in steemit you earn STEEM POWER & STEEM DOLLAR.

Steemit wallet

STEEM POWER (Red part) is the giving to you so that your voting power increase, and your overall account valuation increases. Though you can concert that into steem dollar to get money out of it, but Is cannot be taken out immediately. It takes 13 weeks to convert your steem power into steem dollar and you can only concert it if you have 300 steem power in your account.

STEEM DOLLAR (green part) is the cryptocurrency, like bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency and it's very easy to transact.

Coverting Steem Dollar to BDT

To covert Steem Dollar into BDT (Taka) you need the following accounts:
(i) Coinbase account
(ii) BlockTrades account (not mandatory)
(iii) DBSEwallet account
(iv) bKash account

Step 1. Open a coinbase account.

Coinbase is a bitcoin wallet. You transact bitcoins with bitcoin wallet.

You can download the coinbase app in your phone it you want. It's very very secure, they use 2-factor verification every time you login.

Step 2: Convert your Steem Dollar into Bitcoin.

Why do you need to convert your Steem Dollar into Bitcoin?
Even though both of them are cryptocurrencies and both with give you almost same monetary value, still bitcoin is easy to trade in Bangladesh. There are several groups in Facebook where people buy and sell bitcoin. So if you have Bitcoin, you can convert it into Taka, easily.

Whereas, if you use a separate steem wallet such as poloniex or bittrex, you need to convert the Steem Dollar to Bitcoin and then to need to send the Bitcoin to your Coinbase account. And in the process, you have to pay quite a lot as transaction fees and it's very time consuming.

Step 3: Open an account on DBSE Wallet to transfer Bitcoin into Taka through bKash.

Opening an account in DBSE Wallet is very painful, as this a Bangladeshi website and not at all user friendly.

After you sign up for your account, you're not done. You have to upload your voter ID card's picture to get your account approved. And it takes time to approved.

Once the account is approved you go to the sell currency. As shown in the picture you sell bitcoin and receive money to your bKash account.

I'm assuming you have a bKash account (you mom's bKash or even your chacha's bKash account will serve the purpose if you don't have one).

This is it. A very complex process to convert your Steem Dollar to Taka.
