(Kila Aurangabad) is an underground Mughal fort located in Dhaka's south-western side of the Buriganga river. [1] Its construction started in 1678, by Mughal Subadar Muhammad Azam Shah, who was the son of Emperor Aurangzeb and later also himself the emperor. His successor, Mughal Subadar Shaista Khan, resumed the construction in 1680, but did not finish it.
