Collection 20: Bandai Master Grade (MG) RX-93 Nu Gundam Ver. Ka. - Char's Counterattack!

The name Katoki has became a famous brand for Gundam products. Nu Gundam in Char's Counterattack is one of the master grade model kit that got the version ka treatment. The signature of this version of Nu Gundam is the massive waterslide decals and the psycho frame.

The inner frame of this model kit is very detail and complete. From the frame itself, we can see the kit itself will be pretty flexible, and the psycho frame is showing ok, not as shinny as I expected.

I enjoyed the build of this model kit very much! It is easy to build but with a complex structure at the same time. Even the weapons are fun to build with some details of color separations. The only part that I enjoyed the least is the fin funnel, cause I had to repeat the same build 6 times.

The model kit comes with a bean rifle and shield.

Another weapon is the bazooka.

Nu Gundam needs to hold the bazooka in certain angle otherwise the ammo clip at the end will get in the way.

The model kit is quite solid, it can withstand the weight of the fin funnels set on the backpack. Arms and legs are all double jointed, so posing is not a problem either. The only problem I found on this kit is very hard to hold all 6 fin funnels together. Holding 4 fin funnels on the backpack is the max. Putting all 6 together, the funnels will get crooked or collapsed.

The psycho frame is easy to open up! It looks pretty cool once all the armor parts splitted up. But there are not really any locking mechanism to hold the open panel firmly.

Nu Gundam comes with a fin funnel stand, which can hold the figure and the fin funnels. The adjustable arms can get the fin funnels pointed to any direction. It is the best gimmick of the entire kit!! It really boosts up the playful value of this kit!

I am a big fan of Nu Gundam! I had collected Nu Gundam from the HCM, HCM Pro, MG (1st version), and Robot Spirit. But this MG Ver. Ka. is probably the best version I had experienced, it is in a different league by far!
