Bali is known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to many pristine religious sites. Getting Around

Between the airport and your accommodation, pre-arranging a driver is very convenient, comfortable and cost effective way to travel. The reputable Bluebird taxis is one of the best options for short distance trips. However, do take note to always ask for the taxi meters to be turned on to avoid unnecessary negotiations at the end of the journey.

Many Balinese speak varying degrees of English, so it is not a hassle at all moving around the island with great ease and comfort.

For food lovers, there are places where you can have your meals from dawn till midnight. The galore of food is spectacularly wide-ranging. You can practically get anything from local street delights to international gourmet at some of Bali’s most refined restaurants. There are plenty of award winning and international restaurants which dishes up continuously excellent Pan Asian food and has been named amongst the Top Ten Restaurants of South East Asia by the Miele Guide.

For hard core adrenalin-pumping adventure-seekers, there are multiple venues that are catered specifically for extreme sports and mountain climbing.

Interesting Places

Here are some ‘must-go’ places when you visit Bali:

i) Ubud

Ubud has been regarded as the quintessential Balinese town where you can find tranquillity just by taking small walks into the streets and alleys. Lovely quiet lanes of cafes and shops are dotted all throughout the town and the royal palaces.
One key highlight of your trip to Ubud is to taste the traditional ‘Babi Guling’ (a whole roasted pig) at ‘Warung Ibu Oka’. It will definitely be a pleasantly unforgettable and memorable experience!

You will also enjoy early morning strolls through Monkey Forest before the buses arrive and traditional Balinese dancing at
Café Lotus.

You can also find Subak Sari Villa, a very popular tourist resort, located in this exciting town. This is the place where you can take your enjoyment and relaxation to a whole new level. The resort boasts of a wide range of high end facilities and state-of-the-art amenities. ii) The ‘Kuta–Canggu’ Stretch
The Kuta-Canggu Stretch is popular with tourists yearning to enjoy the bustling nightlife and shopping. The Kuta region offers a more international and urban shopping experience whilst Canggu has offers a more laid-back vibe.
This stretch offers ‘jam packed’ restaurants, parading almost every type of cuisine known to men. It is also a great place if you really enjoy a great party ambience. Discos and night clubs are swamped with hot gyrating bodies and blaring loud music.

iii) Nusa Dua
Nusa Dua is a unique blend of large urban development and quiet surfing spots. It is home to many hotels, Five Star beach clubs and resorts, while possessing some of the most beautiful and calm fishing spots, deserted beaches and simple shacks.
This is the home of rolling turquoise seas and white sand beaches snaking around the dramatic cliffs. There are plenty of stunning beaches to sun bathe and the cliffs that look down on these waves are beautiful and wild.

iv) Batukaru Rainforest
One of the most authentic and tranquil places in Bali is the interior regions of Batukaru Rainforest. The rainforest is relatively untouched by tourists and every visit is magical. It is almost as if time stood still. You will most likely be mesmerized by the rolling hills and be deeply captivated by the mysteriousness, richness and diversity of its flora and fauna.
