Bakkt Acquires Assets from Futures Merchant RCG

While the launch of the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) Bitcoin (BTC) futures platform Bakkt has been delayed, they are not standing still. In a first, Bakkt, have acquired assets in futures commission merchant Rosenthal Collins Group (RCG). Announced on Medium, by Bakkt’s CEO Kelly Loeffler, the move is significant as they are potentially looking to become the first integrated, institutional grade exchange traded markets and custody solutions platform.
