Chocolate Chip Muffins with Oats and Raisins

These muffins are delicious and deceitful. The taste of chocolate chips is indulgent, and it is easy to forget about the healthful oats and raisins. A great breakfast muffin, but it's just as amazing as an any time treat. A simple two bowl method makes them easy to prepare.

Set oven to 400 degrees

Ingredients:
In a large bowl combine
2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup of raisins or preferably zante currants
1/2 cup of mini semi sweet chocolate chips
1 table spoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt

In a medium bowl combine
2 eggs
3/4 cup of milk
1/4 cup of plain yogurt or sour cream
1 table spoon of vanilla extract

Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until well combined.
Add batter into a greased muffin pan, filling about 3/4 the way up.
Sprinkle sugar on top of each muffin.
Put muffin pan into preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes
When ready they should be golden brown.
Let muffins rest once out of the oven and enjoy!
