Bharat Bandh sponsored by the Congress and left has got support from opposition parties like JD(s), RJD and Trinamool Congress

The rising price of essential commodities like petrol and LPG has made the life of the common men miserable. The situation is worsening with the daily weakening of the rupee. Therefore, the Congress had announced a nationwide protest on September 10 over rising fuel prices. And Left have extended their support to the Bandh. But now many other opposition parties had also announced to support bandh called by Congress.

The JD (s) will support the Bharat Bandh called by the Congress party over the rising fuel price and the decreasing value of the India rupee. JD (s) state president H Vishwanath told reporters that, " The JD (s) will support the Bandh and our party workers will stage protests at all district headquarters on Monday."

He again said, " They had staged a protest against the UPA government when fuel and LPG gas prices had shot up. Where are they now?" He questioned to Union Ministers Ananth Kumar, DV Sadananda Gowda, Anant Kumar Hedge, and MPs Nalin Kumar and Shobha Karandlaeje.

RJD National vice president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh informed reporters here about the party's decision to extend support to the Congress called Bharat Bandh on September 10. He said at the party office, " We have to strengthen our opposition' unity in proposed Bharat Bandh... We will be actively participating in Bharat Bandh for people's interest."

Trinamool Congress has extended support to Congress and left's September 10 Bharat Bandh. But they will run everything in the state, Chatterjee, a senior Cabinet Minister in West Bengal said. He says that' "We don't support the bandh as it results in loss of mandays and impacts the ongoing development process in the State, but we have full support for the issues that have led the opposition parties to call for Bharat Bandh."

"We are not opposing the strike, but neither will we participate in it."

Instead, the TMC will protest against the anti-people policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they would be taken a march out on the 1.5 Km stretch between Moulali to Dorina crossing in the city along with all the districts of the state.
