Easter Eggery Part II (entry)

Everyone was raving about the movie, Mahavatar Narsimha.

I know the story. It is from the Vedas and is a wonderful story. Brings out a lot of serious issues for civilized existence. Responsibility, envy, power, madness, hatred, love of God, faithfulness, tolerance. The usual themes all wound together in a very readable story.

The story of Prahlad Maharaj a 5-year-old boy who was saintly from birth and his domineering envious father Hiranyakashipu who tried unsuccessfully to kill his son in many ways. But whose son was rescued each time by Narasimha the half lion/half man incarnation of Vishnu.

The movie was terrible. Why everyone was raving about it? I have no idea. It was an AI creation. That in itself is awful. Unrealistic. Like a big cartoon it did no justice to the seriousness of story. It is not a silly story but presents profound issues.

I watched about ten seconds. Forget it. Not going there. Not even trying again. The movie is dead in the water as far as I am concerned.
