RE: Backpacking Section 27 of the Sheltowee Trace - Along the Cumberland River - Daniel Boone National Forest - Kentucky - Part 1

I appreciate the original content @nathanjones and am glad to have you as a Steemit member. That looks like an amazing trip! What town is the trailhead closest to in Tennessee?

I have seen some good gear review posts from outdoorsy folks if you are looking for further blogging ideas. I am in the market for a raincoat and a downjacket. I have had ClNorthface and Mountain Hardware in the past but if you have any other recommendations, please let me know.

Have you ever been climbing? I have a few blog entries that help introduce and explain rock climbing (and its jargon) to novices. Feel free to check them out. I'll gladly point you in the right direction if you are interested in breaking into the sport.

Truly,
H

@hmfoucault, Thanks so much.

The section shown here starts at Cumberland Falls State Park near Corbin, KY. The Sheltowee Trace is a much longer trail and starts in the The Big South Fork NRR area and is located in between Jamestown and Oneida Tennessee.

I have not really ever been climbing, but I have been repelling around Natural Bridge area in Kentucky and it was really fun and would love to try more. I will check out some of your stuff. Thanks again.
