In Loving Memory

Why is it that we as a society have names for men and women who have lost a spouse, children who have lost parents... Yet no name for parents who have lost a child? These people live their daily lives in a society who has labels for everyone but them. The pain and grief they carry on a daily is a heavy burden. They wake up empty and heart broken.
I'm not sure why this subject lays heavy on my heart today. Maybe it has to do with the anniversary of our nephew's death. Maybe it has to do with the sadness that follows having to clean a gravestone that belongs to a sweet angel who never got to reach a day past 6 months old. But I am asking you to love your little ones a little more tonight in honor of our lovey.
