Racial profiling or is something else at play?

This is why people have to start to rely on their own brains from time to time rather than bullshit media sources like Boredpanda, Buzzfeed, and The New York Times.

The teller who confiscated the check was Hispanic while still apparently being a white supremacist.

Beyond that, of course it's suspicious for any 22 year-old to be depositing a personal check for $30k with "rent" written in the memo line. Like a lot of millennials and younger people, yeah, my dad helped me with rent; but, he never sent me a personal check via snail mail to cover an entire year of rent in one lump sum.

Who is buying this argument that she offered to get her dad on the phone to verify the account and routing number?

Have none of you ever looked at a check before?

That information is on the check and hearing some random dude on the other end of the line reading the information that's on the check doesn't prove anything. If it's fraud and the people committing the fraud have any brains at all, they would at least have the numbers written down from the check if not the entire check book.

Of course, TYT took the position that the bank employees that held the check were "privileged." So, a $30,000 check to cover a year of rent is $2,500 a month. My condo in DC with a view of the Washington Monument was $1,900 a month and I was splitting it with my girlfriend at the time.

You're trying to tell me that a Hispanic bank teller is more privileged than an internet celebrity that comes from a family that can pay her $2,500 a month rent outright?
