Roughly 62.5 people die from Cancer each hour. Cancer Is collection of similiar diseases. Cancer Is where a portion of the body's cells begin to divide without ceasing. It also spreads Into surrounding body tissues. Many Cancers form masses, called tumors within the body. While other cancers, like leukemias, do not form solid masses. With Heart disease the first leading cause of death In the U.S., Cancer Is the number #2 spot. 1,685,210 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed In 2016. 39.6% percent of both women, and men, will be diagnosed with some type of cancer within their lives. The percentage Is higher In men than women. It Is more prevel African American Men (261.5 of every 100,000). And lowest In Asain/Pacific Islander women (91.2 of every 100,000). Expenditures for cancer could reach $125 BILLION by the year 2020! Cancer types Include Badder, Breast, Colorectal, kidney, Prostate, Lung, Skin, Pancreatic, Leukemia, Lymphoma, Thyroid and many, many more. Currently, there Is no cure for Cancer. Only types of treatments. Such as surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem cell, targeted, hormone, and precision medicine. We must continue to find a cure for Cancer. We must continue to fund research for all types of cancers for both women and men. Coping with cancer on an emotional level, can be just as hard as the physical aspect. A support system should be In place for the patient, and family of the patient. Some of my loved ones, and co-workers have been Impacted or died by Cancer.
