Footprints lead into fear
Into pain
Darkness
Approaching the edge of the wilderness
I struggle to see what is beyond
A thick fog keeps its confidences
Cloaking forms and suppressing sound

But there is a spirit there
It dances beyond the misty veil
Shaking the Earth with its heavy steps
Among the mysteries
It sets the rhythm pounding the drum
It can’t be heard, only felt
And now I feel it inside me

Darkness
A voice calling from the wilderness
Grinning like a madman with answers
