was a Swedish disc jockey, producer and remixer.2 He was the creator of some successes of the last decade such as Wake Me Up, Hey Brother, Addicted to You, Broken Arrows, For a Better Day, Fade Into Darkness, The Days , The Nights, Waiting For Love, Seek Bromance, You Make Me and, especially, Levels, which, despite taking nine months to be recognized, managed to bring fame and success to the DJ.

His single Bromance (recorded and put on sale under the pseudonym "Tim Berg") managed to enter the top 20 of the Netherlands and his native Sweden. A version called Seek Bromance, with Amanda Wilson, was put on sale shortly after, reaching the UK Singles Chart and reaching the # 1 international position in Beatport. Later it sent several singles like Fade Into Darkness (that contains samples of Perpetuum Mobile), My Feelings for You, Street Dancer and Tweet It, among others. His worldwide recognition would come in 2011, when he sampled the original 1962 gospel song, "Something's Got a Hold on Me" by Etta James in his hit Levels, which made it into the world's most important music charts and obtained numerous certifications. In that same year Avicii would found his own label called LE7ELS.

In 2013 he got his first number one in the UK thanks to I Could Be the One, a co-production with Dutch DJ Nicky Romero.3 In June 2013, he released the single "Wake Me Up!" with the voice of the American singer Aloe Blacc, achieving the number one in more than 30 countries, including the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, Australia, Spain and Argentina.4 This was the first single from his debut album titled True on September 13, 2013.5 They were followed by singles such as "You Make Me" and "Hey Brother", with the latter coming in first place in countries such as Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands.

In 2010, Avicii managed to position itself in the 39th place in DJmag's list of the 100 best DJs. The 2011 he smiled at Avicii; the young producer was consolidated as the sixth best DJ in the world. In 2012 he managed to climb three places to occupy the third, staying in the same until 2013, although in 2014 he returns to sixth place, and for 2015 falls one position remaining in the seventh.

On June 13, 2015 he made a special presentation at the royal wedding of Prince Charles Felipe of Sweden and Sofia Cristina of Sweden, held in Stockholm. At the end of the same year Avicii participated in YouTube Rewind making a remix of the most listened to songs of the year including a fragment of his single Broken Arrows; song that is in his most recent album Stories.

On March 29, 2016, he unexpectedly announced his retirement from the stage for an indefinite period of time, which took place in Ibiza (Spain) on August 28 following the performance of his latest show in Ibiza. Avicii was ranked 28 in the list of the 100 best Djs made in 2017 by the annual DjMag survey.

On April 20, 2018, the publicist of Avicii Ebba Lindqvist announced that she had died that day at the age of 28 in Muscat (Oman) .1 No information was given so far on the cause of her death. However, in 2017, Bergling's health deteriorated and he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis due to excessive alcohol consumption, 1 and stopped making live presentations since then.Avicii_2014_003.jpg
