The technology exists to "de-carbonize" many industries today (road transport, shipping, agriculture, etc), but aviation is not one of them. We can't achieve this without a meaningful breakthrough in batteries or other energy storage.
Given the high energy density of hydrogen it's conceivable that fuel cell technology could offer some hope, however that could mean a return to propellers and slower-flying airplanes. Commercial airlines are unlikely to give up their turbine jets anytime soon.
