Airline reviews, Air New Zealand B777-300ER, LAX-LHR
Hi guys, in this post I will show you the experience in the Economy class on a B777 from Los Angeles, USA to London Heathrow, UK. On this particular aircraft, three classes are offered, Business, Premium Economy and Economy class.
The Economy cabin is split into two sections that are located from the middle of the wings through to the rear of the aircraft, mostly in a 3-4-3 configuration. The Economy cabin has apart from its regular seats a SkyCouch. A SkyCouch is a a row of seats which have a bit more space and can fold out in a "bed". It costs more than a regular economy ticket but is worth it.
You'll find a small pillow, blanket and headphones waiting for you at your seat, If you're in need of some amenities then you'll be happy to know that you can order a toothbrush and paste, eye mask and earplugs through the in-flight entertainment system during the flight, or just ask the in-flight crew.
Furthermore, the seat pitch is approximately 32-33", which is more than you would find with other airlines. The overhead storage bins drop-down from the ceiling and thus opening up the cabin a lot. The ligthning in the cabin is amazing and will help you survive the jet lag a bit. In total, there are five washrooms; two in the middle and three at the back.
The entertainment system on the flight over worked intermittently, which was frustrating, as many of us would be half way through a movie when it was stutter and need restarting. The variety of movies and series was quite good, I was happy to see a large number of shows in the documentary file,which will also excite other geeks out there. If you need to catch up on any of the Lord Of The Rings series, all of them are on board for you to watch at your leisure.
The meal service started around 1 and a half hours after departure. There is a menu distributed with two options for the main dish, appetiser and dessert. During the service, cabin crew will come and offer you alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with my recommendation to try New Zealand wines.
Overall I thought the meal choice and the quality was very good, something of which the company is really taking care of. I would definitely recommend you to fly with this airline!

never flew air new zealand, i think this could be a great adventure from the normal airlines, and looks like their services are great

STOPI always try to buy regular ticket, Because money i invest to buy business seat will be loss so if i buy regular ticket and enjoy with these money in the country i will make myself more happy like this.
B777 Aircraft's logo is supered i like.
Of course Business class can be expensive but it has its advantages on long flights. I completely agree that you can use that money for more things in the country you are travelling to. :)
Yeah, If you have extra money than it is good to go to business class. But often people have limited money so this comment was for those.
