avatar 5?

just watched some guy talking about Disneys release scheduled. it seems that there is going to be 4 more avatar movies in the 2020s. why is there going to be 4 more avatar movies?

seriously, why is there going to be 4 more avatar movies this next decade? i dont understand. why use 10 years, then churn out 4 in 8 years. most people didnt even care that much about the movie. it was a tech demo. a fine tech demo i guess, but not worth a 5 movies franchise. i dont give a shit about the blue hippies and their fight against man.

i hear economist on cnbc talk about avatar. i have not seen an avatar meme in... forever i guess. avatar is from before memeing, and its not culturally important enough to be looked back on. i just dont understand who decided that 4 more avatar movies was the right call. how out of ideas are they? there are still plenty of fantasy series that are finished to film. plenty of sanderson. they could try wheel of time. why 5 avatar movies?
