CeBIT highlights (day 3 and 4) - Connected Car
Hi fellow Steemians,
this my last post about CeBIT as I am out for this year - this is focusing on Automotive solutions. A lot car companies have been at the show this year again such as Volkswagen and Tesla which I have shown already some days ago. But there was much more to be seen in the Connected Car Space- Mobility of the Future.
Intel-Demo: BMW i8
Intel showed a multimedia demo in the BMW i8. Visitors could get details what data a self driving car of the future needs to exchange with other cars, drivers, infrastructure and surrounding via Microsofts HoloLens AR glasses.
Nissan Leaf including „Sam“
Japan is the partner country of CeBIT 2017 as mentioned already in previous post. Nissan is heavily focusing on „Intelligent Mobility“ this years which autonomous driving and e-mobility. The Seamless Autonomes Mobility System SAM ensure safe driving wishing traffic of the Nissan Leaf which was shown at the show.
Vodafone 5G demo
5G Technology is key for the development of self driving cars which was demonstrated by Vodafone, Huawei and Audi - data will not be parked in the cloud but exchanged directly to inform about traffic jams, accident and other warnings in real time.
Mitsubishi concept car
Mitsubishi Electric showed a system that creates precise 3D street maps for safe autonomous driving. This EMIRAI concept car features driving-assistance technology that aims to enhance safety and comfort of the driving experience.
