what political statistics compiled by a government with a clear agenda can be relied on?

I studied ''political science'' (oxymoron right there if every I saw one, how can politics and science be one and the same?) at University and we learned about statistics and how these ''surveys'' are conducted, and what they actually reveal to us...

Basically they're just used as a predictive tool... And most often than not, they're riddled with biases...

You're gonna ask 2000 people a question and expect it to represent a country...

It's just pure reductionism that reveals more about the psychological faculties of the people conducting these experiments rather than accurately measuring public sentiment...
