LG unleashes speaker ranges with Meridian Audio skills
LG Electronics has launched its 2018 SK series sound bars and PK series portable speakers designed to give you an immersive listening experience. Furthermore, LG have called on Meridian Audio for assistance.
Following recent news that Bowers & Wilkins have joined forces with Philips for their next reference TVs, LG Electronics have teamed up with Meridian Audio.
New for 2018, key LG audio products incorporate Meridian Audio's high-fidelity audio and Digital Signal Processing (DSP). Moreover, Meridian's Bass and Space technology, as well as their Height Elevation technology, brings added clarity to both speech and music.
LG PK portable speakers
For listeners on the go, the PK7 Bluetooth speaker boasts powerful sound performance in a compact, portable design. LG tells us to expect rich audio thanks to Meridian's advanced technology. Additionally, the multicoloured lighting modes adds to a unique music experience no matter where you are.
These speakers are compatible with the APT-X HD Bluetooth standard for hi-speed streaming over Bluetooth. Combined with IPX5 compliance for splash-proof water resistance and a convenient handle, the LG PK speakers are ready for premium on-the-go listening both indoors and outdoors.
LG SK sound bars
Led by the LG SK10Y, LG's next generation of sound bars are said to deliver an unmatched audio visual experience.
The 550W, 5.1.2 channel LG SK10Y sound bar features support for multi-dimensional sound powered by Dolby Atmos. Additionally, it will play nice with all the major High Resolution Audio formats.
You can also send music to the sound bar directly through Bluetooth or ChromeCast or from an LG ThinQ speaker or any other Google Assistant product.
The SK10Y sound bar is made to match the width of a 65–inch class TV. This means that it will sit pretty under your large screen-television.
The SK10Y joins the LG SK9Y, SK8Y, SK6Y and SK5Y sound bars in the 2018 lineup.

Price and availability
LG's new SK series sound bars and PK series portable speakers are available from John Lewis, Currys and others.The sound bars range from £349 for the SK5 to £1,199 for the range-topping SK10Y. The PK portable speakers are priced at £149.99 for the PK5 and £199.99 for the PK7.
