Auction Finds - Stuff To Wear!

in #auction7 years ago

I have been unusually busy with my online auction site these last couple of weeks. So busy in fact that I haven't had that much time to post my finds! I have grouped all my latest wearable collectible and vintage clothing and accessories together for this blog.

One thing I have learned about vintage clothing is I can't only list what I like. There have been a couple of items I have found to be hideous that have done really well. That being said, I love most of these items, especially the jackets. I adore the seventies era leather jacket (which I actually just listed just an hour ago). I was in love with the vintage Quiksilver Padded jacket, which sold quickly. The winter coats are amazing and probably date to the sixties or seventies. Here in the Southern Hemisphere we are fast approaching winter, though I rarely find it cold enough for coats. The wrap around boho skirt is a star!

Sporting related apparel is a popular collectible. I often get autographed items, but they have to be autographed by someone really famous or popular to be worth much.

Various old assorted uniform hats. The only one I could identify is the South African Railways (SAR/SAS) one.  All but one sold quickly.

This is a mixture of modern and vintage hats. I usually sell hats in the shop and they are a popular seller. These were in excellent condition so I decided to try them out online.

An autographed cap by South African music group, The Bats.

This blue and black tuxedo is my current crush. I simply LOVE it. Unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice.

I'm always happy when I can get jewelry! Most of the gold jewelry I find is in between large lots of fashion jewelry. I did find a nice ring in a Monopoly box once, though! At auctions, jewelry is often stolen, or hidden in another lot. While I was browsing before an auction, I found a solid gold cross in a bucket with a mop and other cleaning materials in it. I didn't take my eyes off that bucket until we got to it. It seems several people saw the cross, as the auctioneer looked confused at the price the mop and bucket achieved. (I got it! And made good money.) As I live in South Africa with it's high crime rate, we have a policy of not selling gold items (or cellphones and laptops) in the shop, as that invites the criminal element and poses a security risk. All gold is listed online. I'm not sure if the earrings are gold, they have a weird mark? The chain above is silver, but particularly attractive so I listed it.

So I start my Bitcoin idea up to help other people create Bitcoin . . .
Now I am the Dark Side of 50.
Week one 18 hour days x7,
Week two 18 hours days or nites over seven days,
Week Three I have some momentum now, the days or nites are starting to blurr.
week four, OK; now I start winding back to 16 hour 'shifts' . . .
Cryptocurrency never sleeps so there is never an end...
Now I actually forget if it is actually seek 6 or starting week 8...
My 14 hour days are becoming 12...

I am way to old for this, I remember sleeplessness from years ago...
Now I am going to 10 hour and eventually 8 hour days/nites/shifts/whatever...

You can work to live or live to work . . .
