What if the pillars of Heracles were oriented differently 12000 years ago?

in #atlantis7 years ago (edited)

Edit: I would say Atlantis was probably where the Azore tripple junction is today, and that it was torn apart in an expansion event (see Dr. James Maxlows' expansion tectonics, I discovered it in 2014). The idea that the arc of Gibraltar is a result of "bending" stands on its own, and it makes a lot of sense to me, just reverse the rift zones and that is what happens.

The arc of Gibraltar is… arc shaped, which gave me the idea that perhaps it had bent, and that the mountain range was once a straight line, where the Iberian peninsula folds back counter-clockwise and attaches to the west coast of Africa, Portugal would meet Morocco. When that rotation happened, a rift zone opened up, that today today stretches from the strait of Gibraltar to the Azores, and meets the mid-atlantic rift.

If continental drift reverses slightly, not by too much, and the Iberian peninsula rotates slightly as the rift zone between it and Africa closes a bit, and a few other rift zones, the arctic ocean, north-atlantic rift, and so on, close a bit as well, would that place Antarctica, more or less, in front of the Strait of Gibraltar ?

This power came forth out of the Atlantic Ocean, for in those days the Atlantic was navigable; and there was an island situated in front of the straits which are by you called the Pillars of Heracles; the island was larger than Libya and Asia put together, and was the way to other islands, and from these you might pass to the whole of the opposite continent which surrounded the true ocean; for this sea which is within the Straits of Heracles is only a harbour, having a narrow entrance, but that other is a real sea, and the surrounding land may be most truly called a boundless continent.

nice contest my friend good sharing

Expanding earth posits this, many have noticed that the continents fit together on a shrunken planet and carbon dating show that the continental shelves are the oldest, I think 3.5-5.5 Billion years old and the ocean floor is the newest, with the oldest part of the ocean floor being situated along the continental shelves , younger and younger as it reaches the new deposit at the atlantic/pacific/indian rifts.

Yes I discovered Dr. James Maxlows' work three and a half years ago, mind blown. That's what gave me the idea, maybe half a year ago, that the arc of Gibraltar could have bent, and then now the idea for how Antarctica could have been in front of the pillars of Heracles 12000 years ago, if there was an expansion event at that time that opened a few rift zones a bit, here and there.

I also like the idea that Atlantis was where the Azores is today, and was torn apart by the mid atlantic rift, similar to how Iceland is being torn apart. So, the idea that the arc of Gibraltar is a result of bending stands on its own, I guess.

I do not know what this picture is either mountain or not, but I am sure I am amazed to see this photography, I like

interesting it will to discuss upon but thanks for sharing your content :)
