I don't believe that Morality is dependent upon a belief in God (or any other diety). Morality is a social construct that is enforced through religion.
That was not what I was saying @venuspcs. I was merely saying that morality itself has no value, without a God to evaluate it. Without God, it remains invaluable in the long term. It perished and has in the end no sense.
Let's say one kills a dosen people, that does seem immoral considering society, but the universe doesn't care. After the human race is whiped out, that immoral thing has no value. So why shouldn't we do whatever we want? Be immoral?
I believe it has something to do with, that a moral standard actually exists and we are all aware of it. Divine books simply present it. The people enforce it. But those exact same people cannot achieve the one true moral standard – nobody can – just One could and One did.
