The Old Russian Church Graveyard

The wind was howling, but only the living
cared. They stayed in their car and shot from
afar. Temperatures around +13° F windchill
way lower, it felt even colder.

The sky was electrified as the snow and ice
grains blew about. A strange red glow was
starting to form. Shots were performed
between extreme gusts, up and down the
window went.

Time is at hand, do what you can.
It's all a grand plan.

Peace be with you.

Your poem is beautiful...old graveyards have always been one of my favorite places, you captured the moments...

Thank you very much @elew!
We will be checking out some other
graveyards around here on the peninsula
as the ice melts. It's dripping today :-)

That was a lovey poem. High on a bluff who would be dying to get in. nice view wind rattling through your bones, yep nice place.

LOL rattling the bones, thank you @bashadow!

How far back do the graves go?

Not to much further than what can be seen, beyond
that is the bluff cliff overlooking the inlet.
To the right there are more just out of view along
with the old church.

Had got some different shots for different
contests, hoping for shadow crosses lol

Will be posting some of the others soon :-)

How'd the sunset go? ☀

I mean in time, dates.

Oh! I was thinking distance sorry about that. 1901 the church
was redesigned and constructed on the bluff, use to be a older
one below in the village. Next time we go there will look for the
original site and for some dates on the crosses. To much snow
and blow the the last time. But its melting now!

There is a picture of the Russian church and some more info.

Thanks @shasta looking forward to see the wonders up there when the warmer weather shows up.
