The Sesostris

The Sesostris is a ship dating from 1939, a German ship, which was stranded in the Port of Puerto Cabello, after the Second World War, and was accompanied by 06 other ships, between Italians and Germans.

It is said that the captains of these ships were ordered to sink the ship if necessary, if it was taken by enemy hands.

These ships took refuge in Venezuela, and they received refuge to all the crews that embarked it.

In 1941, the president of the United States, Roseelvet, gave the order to confiscate all the ships and extradite them, and then the crew of the seven ships, following the instructions of their superiors, burned them, endangering the life of the population , since one of them was loaded with oil barrels.

The Venezuelan government takes the measures and resolves the fires, leaving the Sesostris ", totally destroyed, the president of the Medina Angarita era, sent this boat to Isla Larga, where it was abandoned, currently serves as an attraction for snorkeling. the visitors of the island.

Location; Isla Larga, Puerto Cabello, Venezuela
