Train Terminal • Abandoned B&W
This train terminal was built in 1889 and abandoned in 1967. It was the end of the line for the New Jersey Central Railroad that connected passengers with ferries into Manhattan and received immigrants from Ellis Island traveling on the next leg of their journey to cities all over the country. It was amazing being inside the terminal and feeling the presence of many of my grandparents and great grandparents that passed through here.
I photographed the train terminal with my iPhone 6S Plus.

I also made the time-lapse GIF below to show the ferry traffic on New York Bay just steps away from the terminal. The bit of land in the upper left of the frame is Ellis Island and I think you probably recognize the Lady on the right.

As usual very good pictures. Why would anyone need a professional camera when you can get such quality images with an iPhone?
I do recognize the Statue of Liberty.
iPhones are good for everyday situations but sometimes I need a wider or longer lens. For that I use my Canon 5D with interchangeable lenses.
There’s just something beautiful about abandoned buildings, isn’t there. Would be a great one to see.
